321 Slideshow

17th January 2011
I belong to Calne Woodlands Camera Club and each year they run a competition entitled 321. This is a competition where you have to produce a digital slideshow of images you have taken with some accompanying music or spoken word. The length of the show must not exeed 3 minutes and 21 seconds - hence the title of the competition.

I was fortunate enough to be succesful with the two entries I submitted which were voted for as first and second in the competition. I won with a show which was a tribute to Vincent Van Goch and this comprised of images of sunflowers which were taken during the last 3 or 4 years. I also came second with some images of the Lochs and Mountains of Scotland. These image were taken during various holidays we have taken in Scotland since 2002.

To ceate these slideshows I used Photshop to resize and change to Jpeg format to allow the file size to be small enough for projection. I used a the program Pictures to Exe to produce the slideshow and I used a program called Audacity to edit the accompanying music. If anyone is interested, both these programs are relatively cheap and can be downloaded from the following links.
